Kennebunk & Kennebunkport Fine Dining
The Kennebunks have a number of truly wonderful restaurants. The following restaurants are more of a date night, upscale vibe. I wouldn’t call them “family friendly.” If you are looking for a date night, we do have a list of sitters that we have personally use for our date nights. Send us a message and we will pass their information on.
our favorite:
Earth at Hidden Pond
This farm-to-fork restaurant is in its own class. It’s truly designed as a culinary experience. As such, the food is artful, portions are small, the menu is limited, and the price is lofty. The decor is stunning, moody, and earthy. You can choose between 3 courses at $85/person or 4 courses at $95/person. If you are looking for an intimate, unique, and truly memorable experience this one is worth the price. Sometimes, they run a “children’s night” where in they feed and babysit your children while you eat.

Lost Fire
This gorgeous restaurant is a unique find for Maine. Styling itself as an upscale Patagonian Grille, they definitely a recommended spot for foodies looking for an experience. That being said, my husband and I shared their mixed grill plate and found it a bit dry and lackluster, especially given the price. We MUCH prefer Bonissoni Brazilian Steakhouse in Ogunquit for delicious meats. We are still listing this restaurant here since so many others regularly recommend it and we decided we were open to giving it a second try. If you go, we would love to hear your take on it.

Chez Rosa
This is one of the go-to date night recommendations. A romantic little French bistro, this restaurant specializes in French comfort food in a beautiful modern farmhouse setting.

Hurricane
An upscale seafood and chop house, this is a common recommendation among returning tourists. It’s definitely more of a traditional Maine menu. They don’t have a kids’ menu per se but they do have kid-friendly choices. This restaurant features live music, Sunday Brunch, and Happy Hour Monday through Thursday from 4 pm-6 pm. Sundays are special for their Buck-A-Shuck promotion.
