This is one of our family’s favorites on a rainy day. They have a wide variety of activities for young children from an interactive yellow submarine to crafts, and giant foam building blocks. It’s ideal for children under 10. They do require advanced registration at this time, so make sure to hop on their website for passes.

Dover is a great little town too, with shops and awesome restaurants. Make sure to swing by Lickee and Chewy’s after your visit for one of their epic milkshakes.

Another fabulous and recently redone children’s museum. They have waterplay, climbing spaces, pretend play, a MakerSpace and more. Online reservations are strongly recommended.

Thompson Point is a fun spot that has restaurants, a winery, ocassional maker’s markets (my favorite), and regular sunset music shows on the water.

Snapology

If you have kids who love Legos, this is your place. My children adore this play spot. They have all sorts of STEM activities, classes, and even parent’s night out. The best part is, you can drop your kids off. That’s right. No sitter? No problem.

Maine Warrior Gym

This is an American Ninja Warrior-style gym. Kids can go to open gym and have a go at running up walls and swinging from ropes. Let them get all that pent-up energy out by literally bouncing off the walls. Make sure to pre-register.
